Elementary teachers and parents teaching K-8 children will find a number of math tools that should help them help their students achieve their educational math objectives. This math site has very little in terms of explanations or handouts - there are other excellent elementary math educational websites that provide tools for teaching math. This math website attempts to supplement the resources on other sites and the instruction of the teacher by providing interactive tools for elementary math demonstration and, most importantly, for math practice. It is our belief that math is the academic discipline most like a sport - it requires practice.

The flashcards, quick quizzes, and other tools on this page should help students solidify their math facts. The math teacher and parent may find many of the math tools useful for demonstration during their teaching. The online practice quizzes are black and white to try to look similar to real quizzes, the flashcards flip like in real life, the long arithmetic tools work right to left, and the long division and long multiplication tools require students to show their work.

On this index page, when you move the pointer over a math topic, a small window will pop up with a brief explanation of the math topic. If a math resource is available in color or in black and white, there is a b/w icon that links to the black and white version. When you click on an elementary math topic, you will be transferred directly to that math resource. Many pages will have additional instructions and all math resource pages will have a small apple in the bottom right corner which links to its particular math subject homepage (Note: the Math Flash Cards page is our main page). Finally, when using this website the text settings should be set to normal or medium.

We hope both teachers and parents find something useful here as they help their K-8 elementary students learn math. If you happen to find a problem or have an idea, we encourage you to send us a comment and provide a page for you to do so. In the meantime, thank you for all you do for our children, our communities, and for a better tomorrow!
