Instructions On (Click Here) This math practice tool is to help children understand the concept of place value. A math addition problem with one and two digit numbers is presented. A visual representation of each number in the addition problem is shown. Children can associate the digit in the tens place of each number to an equal number of stacks of ten blocks and the ones place to a stack of blocks representing the ones place digit. By putting the pointer on the ? children can see how the stacks of ten blocks and one blocks lead to the answer to the math problem. The first number's blocks are slightly darker than the second number's so the student can see how they are brought together to determine the answer. Teachers and parents can use the blocks to help their children understand the application of place value to multi-digit addition. Children simply type the answer. If they type the correct answer to the math problem, "Correct!" will be displayed. Press the reset button, or the RETURN or ENTER key to set a new children's math addition problem.
